Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I measure?

It’s up to you. We recommend testing every other day. The key is consistency—always measure in the morning, right after waking.

Does the app invade user privacy?

No. We never share your data, and everything is securely protected. You can fully delete your account anytime, along with all activities, measurements, and personal/health data.

What do the stress and recovery values mean?

With the most accurate HRV method—spectral analysis—we capture both stress and recovery activity in your autonomic nervous system. It shows how stressed you are and how well you’re recovering.

How is Elonga different from smartwatches (Apple Watch, Samsung, etc.)?

Smartwatches and Elonga complement each other.
- Smartwatches track daily activity: steps, calories, sleep.
- Elonga measures your overall body state in 3 minutes each morning: stress, recovery, readiness, and functional age.
Elonga then syncs your results into a personalized plan, recommending the best daily activities based on your body’s current state.
Together, they give a complete picture. See the full comparison at elonga.com/smartwatch.

What are my sync options?

Elonga syncs with Google Fit and Apple Health. From there, your activity data flows directly into Elonga.
- Only movement and activity data needed for your plan are synced.
- Stress, recovery, readiness, and functional age are measured independently—no manual logging required.
- No smart watch? You can also add activities manually.
- More integrations are coming soon.

What does Elonga measure?

- Readiness: Shows how prepared your body is for the day, whether for work or activity.
- Stress: Measures sympathetic nervous system activity (stress and activation) on a 0–10 scale, compared to your peers and your personal baseline.
- Recovery: Reflects parasympathetic activity (how well your body restores and regenerates) on a 0–10 scale.
- Functional age: Compares your biological age (how your body feels) to your calendar age. Lower is better.
- Fitness: Tracks the long-term impact of your habits and activities on overall fitness, identifying which routines improve your fitness and which don't.
- Plan: A weekly personalized activity plan recommending light, medium, and high-intensity activities based on your current and long-term state.

Who is Elonga for?

For anyone who cares about lifestyle, health, and performance and wants deeper insights to improve them.

When should I start measuring?

Anytime. But remember, Elonga is most effective long-term, because it lets you compare results across life stages.

Why measure in the morning, right after waking?

Because Elonga measures your autonomic nervous system. Lifestyle factors like stress, caffeine, nicotine, diet, and exercise influence results. Measuring first thing in the morning—before food or activity—keeps results accurate and consistent.

Can Elonga help with sleep?

Yes. Sleep is a key factor in recovery, and Elonga shows exactly how well you recover. You’ll see:- How much sleep is right for you- Whether eating before bed affects you- If that evening drink helps or hurts

How should I measure during illness?

Elonga is most useful at the very start of an illness—when your body detects it before symptoms appear.- Illness often shows up as a sudden HRV drop with no clear cause.- Medication and illness both influence HRV, so results may vary.- We recommend pausing measurement when you’re sick, and resuming when you feel fully recovered.Every body responds differently. Always interpret your results in the context of your current health and lifestyle.
